The Fox 34 K Float 29" Factory StepCast with Kashima Coat and 3-position FIT4 shock (Open, Medium, Firm) is a lightweight Boost fork with Kabolt thru axle, designed for all mountain, trail, cross country and marathon cyclists .

Creating a new generation of race fork, the 34 Step-Cast shines in BC Bike Races, Epic Rides and trail marathons. It's also perfect for riders who want an all-round fork that delivers performance in a wide range of applications: lightweight for climbs and highly capable for more challenging terrain, with enough travel to instill confidence when the trail turns it's hard. The weight savings are attributed to the lower casting's external steps, hollow bottom section, and shortened length of the stanchions – the same lightweight 8mm shock stanchions as the 32 Step-Cast. The dedicated air spring and shock tuning are specific to this travel range, with a lighter tuning at medium and high speeds.

The lightest 34 ever, the all-new 34 Step-Cast was designed from the ground up to deliver uncompromising XC race performance, with class-leading tuning, frame stiffness and durability. Head tube profiles have become larger and larger and fork offsets shorter and shorter. Our new arch shape takes this into account, protruding forward to provide ample head tube clearance at maximum compression.

The EVOL air spring, returning with the same legendary softness and longevity, now features an oversized negative air spring to aid mid-stroke support. New for 2022, the 34 SC offers the ability to adjust the negative air spring with a volume spacer.

Technologies

FIT4
A series of reconfigured shims, found in all 34 and 36 FIT4 forks, provide greater sensitivity while maintaining support during aggressive riding. In its fourth generation, the patented FIT4 closed cartridge system offers three on-the-fly compression damping positions - Open, Medium and Firm - to adapt to different trail conditions. Factory Series forks feature an additional 22 clicks of low-speed compression adjustment in Open mode, allowing riders to fine-tune their damping preferences.

Kashima coat
The distinctive oil-smooth gold color of Genuine Kashima Coat is supported by its high performance: properties that guarantee an exceptionally smooth feel and extreme durability. All Factory Series Forks - Now available on the entire range of Factory Series forks. The original, buttery smooth Kashima Coat is available only from FOX - the Kashima Coat logo is individually printed on each shaft.

FLOAT air spring
The FLOAT air spring system, developed for the 32, 34 and 40 forks, is lighter and reduces the force needed to initiate the stroke, ensuring excellent sensitivity and small-bump compliance for all riders and pressure settings. Similar to our FLOAT rear shocks, the new FLOAT system features positive and negative air springs that automatically equalize during use to give each rider the right balance of pressure. The progressiveness of the spring curve can be adjusted via air volume spacers, allowing riders to fine-tune the feel of the air spring.

EVOL
A More linear spring curve gives the EVOL forks and shocks greater softness at the start, greater support in the mid-stroke and a more adjustable progression at the exit, allowing riders to exploit the ideal torque of sensations between the front and rear axle. EVOL rear shock technology is now integrated into all FOX forks. EVOL increases the volume of the negative spring, positioned and sized specifically to optimize sensitivity on small impacts.

Spacers for air volume
The progressiveness of the FLOAT air spring curve can be adjusted via air volume spacers, allowing riders to fine-tune the feel of the air spring.

Kabolt (Boost)
The development of this super light, bolt-on 15x110mm thru axle was inspired by Geoff Kabush through the Fox RAD program. Assembly is done with a simple 6mm hex wrench.
